Overview:
Sunbury Region is one of Victoria's oldest wine regions. Just past Melbourne
Airport, it has produced wine since the 1860's. Historically the principal grape variety is shiraz, but currently chardonnay, riesling, semillon, traminer,
pinot noir, cabernet sauvignon and some Italian varieties are grown.
Soils:
The soil varies from sandy grey loam over gritty yellow clay, red volcanic loam to black basalt clay.
