Vineyards
Leslie Fay Vineyards:
The vineyard at
Pendleton Estate's was planted in March of 2006 with one year old
vines. The winery was founded on Oct 18th 2005 along with the birth
of our first child Leslie Fay. The vineyard is layed out with
approximately 1,400 Petite Sirah vines, 900 Mourvedre, 600 Petite
Verdot, and 600 Cabernet Franc. We will be planting a field blend
next year of Zinfandel, Petite & Mourvedre. All vines are planted on
a hillside approx 1,900 feet above the Alexander Valley.
Ponzo's Vineyard:
Located in
Sonoma’s Russian River Valley, Ponzo Vineyard grows Zinfandel from
vines planted around 1920, near the onset of Prohibition. The
climate is cool and mild due to the coastal influences, morning fog,
and breezy conditions. The fruit is dry farmed and grown in sandy
loam producing deeply concentrated fruit.
