WINEMAKER NOTES:
The wine delivers the most intense, complex flavors of prosecco. Straw color and tiny
bubbles with an aroma of white peaches with a touch of pear and melon. Medium-full with a very long finish that is quite dry and offers excellent acidity. This is best
served not as an aperitif, but with richer seafood and poultry. A beautiful package.

PROSECCO VINES
Viticulture in the hills of Conegliano-Valdobbiadene dates back to ancient times evidenced by the work of man who has, over the centuries, sculpted the sunniest slopes.
The Prosecco vine has been cultivated on these hills for over two hundred years.
Since the beginning of the XIX century, with the foundation of The School of Viticulture and Oenology and The Experimental Centre for Viticulture, both in Conegliano,
research into this vine variety has greatly increased and the Prosecco has spread throughout the area.
THE
FAMILY
The Favrel family has owned the winery for more than 50 years. Grandfather Gregorio (
from here the short form "Gorio" after which the Extra-Dry sparkling wine has been named) founded the winery originally in Col San Martino, in the early 50s he moved to
the gentle slopes of Susegana where he could obtain full bodied and aromatically more complex wines thanks to the clayey soil. Maurizio, enologist and now in
charge of the winery. Maurizio graduated at the Enological School "G.B. Celetti" in Conegliano. He has got a ten- year-long experience in enological studies and
2-year-long work practice in the most important winery of Valdobbiadene. Since 2004 he has taken care of the wine making, thus granting a total control of the whole
process line, from land to bottle.
